Amy Tingley’s distinct practice involves the most complex of legal issues that corporate entities and professionals confront. Whether developing claims or defenses in a civil RICO action or representing a professional whose conduct is the subject of a grand jury investigation, she adapts her strategy to meet the specific needs of her client at every stage. She believes it is never too early or too late to pursue vigorous and creative strategies for the advantage of her clients. Her tireless and often bold approach to defending professionals facing criminal charges emphasizes that the best defense is a good offense. She matches her thorough understanding of evidence and procedure from her extensive trial experience with a resolve to always outwork her adversary.
Ms. Tingley also brings tireless determination to her appellate practice, whether she handled the trial proceeding or is brought in after the fact to analyze and brief the possible errors by the trial court. In both civil and criminal appellate proceedings, in either state or federal court, she has the necessary skills to brief and argue her clients appellate issues. In addition, Ms. Tingley has the experience needed to seek stays of proceedings and extraordinary writs. Outside the courtroom, she is able to manage her client’s message in highly publicized cases, in addition to quietly handling volatile matters so they remain undiscovered by the media.
