Jennifer Belbeck Swadel focuses her practice at Stovash, Case, & Tingley, P.A., on representing employers in class and collective actions in federal courts, and in matters before the United States Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division, the Equal Opportunity Commission, the Office of Federal Compliance Programs, and other federal, state, and local regulatory agencies. She also represents individuals and corporations in government investigations and prosecutions by the United States Department of Justice, as well as in complex commercial litigation and civil enforcement actions in federal and state courts. Jennifer has extensive courtroom and trial experience and brings an understanding of her clients’ concerns to her work, addressing each situation promptly and efficiently to advocate for her clients.
Jennifer began her legal career as an Assistant State Attorney for Florida’s Ninth Judicial Circuit in Orange and Osceola Counties. During that time, Jennifer prosecuted a variety of offenses including DUIs, economic and property crimes, and crimes that are punishable by life in prison. After her time as a prosecutor, Jennifer served as regional counsel for a major tire manufacturer, dealing with all phases of litigation in the areas of personal and catastrophic injury and products liability defense. She also has experience litigating partnership and business disputes, as well as various other complex commercial matters.
Jennifer is a founding member of the Orlando Chapter of Project H.E.L.P. (Homeless Experience Legal Protection), a weekly clinic where volunteer lawyers from various Orlando law firms offer free legal advice and assistance to Orlando’s homeless and indigent populations. She also serves as a pro bono Guardian ad Litem for children through Orange County’s Legal Aid Society. In addition, she serves on the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida’s Young Professional Committee and has served as the Chair and Co-Chair of the Great Oaks Village Fun Day and Shoe Drive, an annual event sponsored by the Young Lawyers’ Section of the Orange County Bar Association.
